About ASHRAE

Have you ever thought what is it that makes the new EV building so comfortable? Temperature is right, ventilation is adequate, and yet energy cost is low. All these are not pure coincidence, they are engineering works of art which encompass tight integration of different building elements into one package.

ASHRAE stands for the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers. The mission of the society is to advance the arts and sciences of heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration and related human factors to serve the evolving needs of the public and ASHRAE members.

And as a to-be engineer, how could you miss the opportunity to know more about the society and the industry as a whole. More about the society could be learned from: ASHRAE.ORG

Every year, we organize a number of activities. Take a look at our photos gallery, if you are wondering how different elements work together in the EV building mechanical room, then ASHRAE is for you. We, here at the ASHRAE student branch at Concordia, are ready to provide you with more information. Just drop by our office at B-203, or contact us at ashrae@eca.concordia.ca
